This trip sticks with you even when you come home. The warmth and comraderie of our guides and fellow bikers made each day so special. The beauty of the flowers and villages couldn’t be captured in just pictures, you have to have the full Dutch experience.

My husband and I took a bike and barge trip in the Netherlands. Our guide was engaging and fun, the cook on the barge fantastic, and the accommodations comfortable. Everything worked out very well, from the initial information, booking to the follow up. I would highly recommend Van Gogh Tours.

Beautiful accommodations, very helpful staff, and absolutely wonderful food thanks to the young chef aboard. My husband rode daily with Marjan, their guide, on the safe bike roads of The Netherlands. My days were spent idling on the covered deck viewing riparian scenery. We all joined in on the city tours, again lead by Marjan, each evening after supper. Would highly recommend this tour to riders with or without riding partners. First vacation I actually came home rested!

I was very pleased with the excellent group dynamics the scenery was fantastic and the guides went above and beyond to make sure the clients enjoy the trip and found everything they were looking for. This trip was the first vacation trip I have taken where everything was arranged and taken care of. It was really relaxing even though they were damp chilly moments . The group consisted of folks who are used to dealing with whatever comes up and being at least somewhat independent. Refreshing!

This was a very good experience. There was really nothing to complain about. The scenery was beautiful, the food was good, everyone was nice, and I’m already planning where I want to ride next.

We have made two bike barge tours with Van Gough and enjoyed both very much. The guides are friendly, knowledgable, and fun. The barges are comfortable and the food is fantastic. Planning on more bike barge trips in the future.

My husband and I went on the Tempting Tuscany tour this fall with four good friends and it was a trip of a lifetime. We had a wonderful native Italian guide who did his best to make the trip special for us including showing us where the best local places were to grab lunch and dinner in the most scenic areas. The rides were HILLY but worth every pedal stroke because the scenery was so beautiful. The hotels were all great as well. Highly recommended.

Knowledgeable friendly tour guides. Crew was a blast on board barge. Wine was excellent. Varied experiences; tour of “back roads” in Venice, fishing village, cheese factory, amusement park ride museum, unbelievably beautiful cathedrals. Just a great experience for the memory bank!

We did the six day tour with Van Gogh Tours – we all agreed it was extremely well run and exceeded expectations. This is a family owned and run business and it shows! The fields of tulips were spectacular and the other sights were well planned. Emma and Denise were personable and solicitous making sure everyone got the most out of this experience – singles, couples, athletes, non-athletes. After researching numerous other bike companies that run tulip tours, this one stands out.

This is a tour that brings you closer to the people, culture, way of life in the Netherlands. I love cycling and it was the best way to experience the Netherlands. I definitely will be recommending this tour! I will also be watching the website for future cycling tours. France, here I come!

We traveled with our 12 year old grandson. He was made to feel very much a part of the group. I liked the Keukenhof gardens the best and I also enjoyed learning so much about the Netherlands. I don’t think I would have felt this way if our guides, Emma and Denise hadn’t done such an outstanding job. They are friendly, efficient, well prepared and knowledgeable.

I’ve done three tours with this company and plan to do more. Here’s why: 1. They hire local folks (frequently natives) as guides. 2. They choose lodgings that are centrally located, so you can park your bike and then walk all over. I’ve looked at other companies that stay in flossier lodgings that are way out of town (let’s face it, aristocracy didn’t build their castles near anyone or anything else), so you’re marooned and can’t go exploring. 3. All lunches and some dinners are on your own. 4. The bike rental fee is included. The hassle factor of bringing my own bike is too high. I did that once and will never do it again.

Delightful romp through the North Holland countryside featuring coastal and Inlands landscapes waterways and dutch relationship to the water. Ample time to explore the old city of Delft dutch an Indonesian cuisine tulips countryside, and views. Small group bike tours are the Best way to explore a country as we wind our way through the countryside and small villages we see how the Dutch live in this historical setting and our fellow riders with their own unique backgrounds and interest help illuminate cultural aspects through the questions and observations. Terrific experience.
