Welcome to the Netherlands! Upon arrival at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, a representative will meet you in the arrival hall and transfer you by private minivan to The Hoxton Lloyd Amsterdam. Located in one of Amsterdam’s former harbor districts, this historic hotel combines character, comfort, and a relaxed atmosphere.
After checking in, your tour leader will be there to welcome you and help you settle in. Throughout your stay, they will be happy to answer questions, recommend restaurants, suggest places to visit, and help you make the most of your time in Amsterdam.
Later this afternoon, meet your fellow travelers in the hotel lobby before enjoying your first tour highlight: a private canal cruise through Amsterdam’s famous canals, followed by a welcome reception. Afterwards, you’re free to explore the city on your own, stroll along the canals, visit a cozy café, or simply enjoy your first evening in Amsterdam.
After breakfast, it’s time to check out of the hotel and get ready for your first day on the bike. Following a bike fitting, you’ll enjoy an easy ride through Amsterdam’s parks, quiet neighborhoods, and along its famous canals; the perfect opportunity to get comfortable with your bike before the tour really begins.
While you’re cycling, your luggage will be transferred to your floating hotel, the Magnifique X, and will be waiting for you in your suite when you arrive. Once on board, take some time to settle in as the ship sets sail toward Vreeswijk, on the outskirts of Utrecht.
This evening, enjoy your first dinner on board. Afterwards, you’ll be introduced to the Netherlands with a short and interesting presentation about the country’s history, geography, and the days ahead.

Today’s ride takes you to the charming town of Schoonhoven, known throughout the Netherlands for its centuries-old silversmithing tradition. Enjoy some free time to stroll through the historic streets before continuing into the beautiful Alblasserwaard region, with its green meadows, winding dikes, grazing cows, and endless Dutch skies.
Around lunchtime, you’ll enjoy a special Taste of Holland experience, featuring regional dishes in a lovely countryside setting; a wonderful opportunity to relax and sample some local flavors.
In the afternoon, cycle to Kinderdijk, home to 19 beautifully preserved windmills and one of the Netherlands’ most famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From nearby Alblasserdam, board the Waterbus for a scenic ride to Dordrecht, one of the country’s oldest cities, where your floating hotel will be waiting. Later this afternoon, the ship cruises on to the historic fortified town of Willemstad.

Start the day with a short presentation on Belgium, the country you’ll be exploring over the next few days. During breakfast, the ship passes through the impressive Volkerak locks, one of the largest lock complexes in Europe.
Today’s ride takes you through peaceful countryside, forests, and farmland to the historic town of Bergen op Zoom, where you’ll have time to explore its attractive market square and historic center. From here, continue south and cross the border into Belgium by bike; a memorable moment on your journey.
Your destination is Antwerp, Belgium’s lively port city, known for its impressive architecture, fashion, and rich history. Spend the evening exploring the Grote Markt, visiting the Cathedral of Our Lady, or strolling along the river to the medieval Steen Castle. Since dinner is on your own tonight, your tour leaders will be happy to recommend one of their favorite local restaurants.

Enjoy a relaxed morning in Antwerp before setting out on today’s ride. If you wish, visit the Red Star Line Museum (included), where you’ll discover the stories of millions of Europeans who emigrated to North America in search of a new life.
Later, cycle along the peaceful banks of the Schelde River, one of the most scenic stretches of the tour. Along the way, enjoy a leisurely countryside picnic before continuing to the riverside village of St. Amands, where your floating hotel will be waiting. Relax on board and enjoy another delicious dinner as you reflect on the day’s ride.

Today’s ride follows the scenic Schelde River to the beautiful city of Ghent, one of Belgium’s most impressive historic cities. With its canals, medieval buildings, lively squares, and welcoming cafés, Ghent has a unique atmosphere and is a wonderful place to explore.
After some free time in the city, enjoy a private canal cruise, offering a different perspective of Ghent’s historic center. Along the way, you’ll pass many of the city’s highlights, including the impressive St. Bavo’s Cathedral, home to the world-famous Ghent Altarpiece by the Van Eyck brothers.
A short afternoon ride brings you back to your floating hotel, now moored closer to Bruges.

Today’s ride takes you through the peaceful countryside of Flanders to the beautiful city of Bruges, often called the Venice of the North. Along the way, enjoy a tasting of Belgian specialties before continuing to one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities.
After arriving in Bruges, the rest of the afternoon is yours to explore. Wander through the cobbled streets, browse the many boutiques and museums, sample delicious Belgian chocolate, or relax with a drink at one of the city’s inviting cafés. This evening, your tour leader will be happy to recommend one of their favorite local restaurants for dinner.

On your final day of cycling, head west through scenic pastures and sand dunes to reach the North Sea. Whether you take a refreshing dip or sip a drink at a beach café, the day is yours to enjoy. Ride back to Bruges along tranquil canals, and reflect on your journey during a celebratory evening onboard with your fellow travelers.

After breakfast, it’s time to say farewell to the crew and board a comfortable coach to Paris. As you travel south, enjoy the changing landscapes; through countryside to the big city. Upon arrival in the French capital, check in to your centrally-located hotel, the Hotel des Grands Voyageurs. In the afternoon, gather with your fellow travelers for the last time to conclude your European adventure with the Seine Farewell cruise: a private tour on a canal boat. Afterwards, you will have time to continue exploring Paris on your own. Your tour leader will be available with recommendations, directions, or even to accompany you for a walk through the City of Light.

The rental bikes on our ships are unisex bicycles with a low bar and a comfortable upright sitting position.These are stable and dependable bikes, good for miles in the saddle.
The bikes consist of a lightweight aluminum frame and have highly-responsive handbrakes, at least seven speeds, an adjustable gel seat, normal flat pedals (no clips), an easy-to-use lock attached to the frame, and special puncture-resistant tires. All told, this is a light, stable and reliable bike, very suitable for touring long distances pleasantly.
Electric bikes can be rented for this tour (€130 per person). We advise you only to rent an electric bike if you have first tried one at home. They’re heavier than regular bikes and therefore can be difficult to maneuver.
Our e-bikes also have at least seven speeds and handbrakes. The motor runs on a 400Wh battery and offers three levels of power-assistance. The e-bikes include comfortable gel seats that can be adjusted for height, have a lock attached to the frame, and sport anti-puncture tires.
The cook prepares all meals: a substantial breakfast and a three-course dinner of very good quality. A packed lunch may be prepared after breakfast. Tea and coffee will be ready when you arrive on board in the afternoon. There’s a bar on board with reasonably-priced beer, wine, and soft drinks. If you have special meal requirements, please mention this when booking. In the case of a Gluten-free or lactose free diet there is an additional charge of €70 per week.
